Coaching Directors at Balgowlah Tennis Club are Marc & Vicki Dragan who have over 50 years combined experience in the Tennis Industry.
Head coach Marc Dragan has an extensive playing and coaching career being a multiple district champion, multiple state junior champion and winner of many open tournaments in NSW. Marc played tennis internationally as a teenager and commenced his full time coaching career at Evergreen Tennis Centre Dee Why in 1980.
Marc is a qualified Club Professional Coach with Tennis Australia and a qualified Advanced Pro Level 2 Coach with the Australian Tennis Professional Coaches Association. Marc has also served on the Tennis Northern Beaches Junior Development Committee. Marc also had a very successful career as a professional Triathlete being a dual Australian elite team member and becoming the first Australian man to actually win a full length ultra distance triathlon.
Marc & Vicki and their team of experienced coaches provide coaching for all levels of players from Beginners to Advanced in both private and group lessons.
Adult and junior coaching is available 6 days per week. Our specialised Junior coaching and competition programs have been running for over a decade and ensure junior players learn the game in a safe, fun environment.
Younger junior players are catered for in our Tennis Australia MLC Hot Shots program utilising modified equipment and low compression red, orange & green balls. As they progress juniors have the option of playing in one of our 20 junior teams that represent Balgowlah Tennis Club in the Tennis Northern Beaches junior competitions.

Tennis coaching at Balgowlah Tennis Club, near Manly, for after school and Saturday morning has been managed by Marc and Vicki Dragan for many years. Their tennis coaching manlyenthusiasm, commitment and love of tennis have seen enormous enrolments in the development programme which not only focuses on coaching but also nurtures the progression to tennis competition. By popular demand a school holiday, tennis coaching programme is also available.
Marc the head tennis coach is a qualified Level 2 Tennis Australia coach. He is a former multiple Manly Warringah District Tennis champion, winner of numerous open tournaments, State Junior champion and has played in the qualifying rounds of the Australian Open Tennis Championships.
Tennis coaching from beginners to advanced players of all ages in private or group lessons are conducted by Marc and his team of dedicated coaches on the picturesque two courts of Balgowlah Tennis club.

Another successful year with many young keen budding tennis players receiving trophies from mini competition winners, the most well behaved coached students, to the most improved player for the year.
Mini Comp: Run by “Dragan’s Tennis” this is a great stepping stone for youngsters to understand the ropes of competition tennis.
Saturday Morning District Competition: Bareena Park Tennis Club has a huge number of teams entered and makes up ¾ of the teams entered of various Levels thanks to “Dragans Tennis”
