Coaching at Balgowlah Tennis Club is run by Marc and Vicky Dragan of Dragan's Tennis, who together bring more than 50 years' experience in the tennis industry. Marc, Vicky and their team coach players of all levels — from beginners to advanced — in both private and group lessons, six days a week.
Marc has an extensive playing and coaching career: a multiple district champion, multiple state junior champion, and winner of many open tournaments in NSW. He played tennis internationally as a teenager and began his full-time coaching career at Evergreen Tennis Centre, Dee Why, in 1980.
He is a qualified Club Professional Coach with Tennis Australia and a qualified Advanced Pro Level 2 Coach with the Australian Tennis Professional Coaches Association (ATPCA), and has served on the Tennis Northern Beaches Junior Development Committee.
Our junior coaching and competition programs have been running for over a decade, helping young players learn the game in a safe, fun environment. The youngest players start in the Tennis Australia MLC Hot Shots program, using modified equipment and low-compression red, orange and green balls. As they progress, juniors can play in one of our 20 junior teams competing for Balgowlah Tennis Club in the Tennis Northern Beaches junior competitions. Junior coaching is available before and after school and on Saturday mornings.
By popular demand, Dragan's Tennis also runs school holiday tennis camps for kids during every school holidays, led by coach Oliver.
